What does a satin finish look like?

A Satin finish has a silvery tone in appearance, reproducing a roughness produced into the base metal, followed by a thin layer of hard chromium. The surface can vary in density and surface topography (from 20 Ra to over 300 Ra), depending upon the application and the web being produced.
